“Save Our Signal”

WFCC, a local institution that is Cape Cod’s only full-time classical music station, faced a crisis: the town of Brewster was planning to erect a windmill to provide renewable power for town offices – in the same office park where the station’s broadcast antenna had stood for a quarter century. The windmill would have essentially chopped up the station’s signal, making it impossible for listeners to tune in.

Krasner crafted a multimedia strategy to win the support of the station’s thousands of loyal listeners, including a dedicated website, social media outreach, and on-air call-outs on the threat. Within several months, the town of Brewster abandoned its plan to put up the windmill, and decided instead to power its offices with photovoltaic panels.
